Joint declaration for sound recording
All fields marked with an asterisk (*) are required.
By signing this Joint Declaration in accordance with Part 1 section 2.2 3.1 of the Rules of Distribution the performers making this declaration collectively assert that
- they all participated in the making of the sound recordings listed in this Joint Statement and no other performer participated in them;
- they assume liability for the damages they might incidentally cause by making this Joint Declaration
and they acknowledge that - they can only amend this declaration jointly;
- EJI cannot accept the Joint Declaration if according to its records there are performers who participated in any of the sound recordings hereinafter listed but signed this declaration.
Sound recording created with the use of an artificial intelligence system can only be submitted with this joint declaration. By submitting a sound recording with the standard Sound recording form, the performer confirms that no artificial intelligence system was used in the creation of the sound recording.
The joint declaration must be signed by all participating performers. A signed copy of the declaration must be sent to EJI to the following address: HU-1033 Budapest, Vörösvári út 101., Hungary.
If the sound recordings hereinafter listed were not yet registered with EJI, filling in this Joint Declaration is a precondition for paying out royalties. EJI retains the right to reclaim royalties paid out on the basis of an incorrect declaration. The Joint Declaration and any of its amendments will be taken into account in distributions starting 30 days or later following date on which the declaration was submitted.
With respect to the sound recording hereinafter listed, the Joint Statement serves as a substitute for registering the same recordings on a Sound recording form. It does NOT, however, replace the Personal data form. The Joint Declaration should contain sound recordings published for commercial purposes. Please do not include in this declaration sound recordings that were not released commercially (e.g., recordings made solely for the purposes of radio broadcasting).
The performers making this joint declaration may determine the sharing of remuneration between them by departing from the provisions of Part II. sections 2.5.1-2.5.2 of the Rules of Distribution in favour of non-featured artists. EJI may not accept a declaration which departs from the Rules of Distribution to the detriment of non-featured artists, or in which the shares collectively do not add up to a whole, or in which sharing is conditional upon some further requirements. The sharing of remuneration between the performers making this Joint Declaration must be indicated in the form of simple fractions (e.g., 1/3) and, collectively, they must always add up to a whole.
